Product Introduction

Material Characteristics:
Silicon nitride bonded silicon carbide ceramic is a new type of composite structural ceramic produced by using high-purity silicon carbide as the aggregate and silicon nitride as the bonding phase, formed and then reaction-sintered in a nitrogen-protected high-temperature furnace. With SiC content ≤75% and Si₃N₄ content ≥25%, it combines the high-temperature strength and high thermal conductivity of silicon carbide with the high toughness, thermal shock resistance, and wear resistance of silicon nitride. The material features a dense structure, low apparent porosity, and a low thermal expansion coefficient. It resists oxidation, softening, and deformation, and possesses strong high-temperature load-bearing capacity. It is a new type of high-performance kiln furniture material designed for the firing and load-bearing of special-shaped workpieces.

Product Information:
Silicon nitride bonded silicon carbide fish-shaped plates are high-performance special-shaped load-bearing plates made from highly homogeneous profile green bodies formed by extrusion or cold isostatic pressing, followed by densification through high-temperature nitridation reaction sintering. Giving full play to the combined advantages of high strength, excellent thermal shock resistance, and dense structure of the composite material, the fish-shaped cross-section design improves the uniformity of gas flow distribution and heat transfer within the furnace. In high-temperature firing cycles, these plates exhibit outstanding characteristics of no bending, no oxidation, no slag shedding, and excellent long-term shape stability and load-bearing performance.

Performance Parameters:
Bulk density: 2.7–2.85 g/cm³, apparent porosity ≤1%, flexural strength at room temperature ≥180 MPa, Vickers hardness ≥2500 HV, fracture toughness ≥4.0 MPa·m^1/2, coefficient of thermal expansion: 4.8×10⁻⁶ /K, maximum operating temperature: 1450 °C.

Product Dimensions:
Conventional fish-shaped plates cover thicknesses from 5 mm to 15 mm, lengths from 200 mm to 600 mm, and widths from 80 mm to 300 mm. They can be designed with single-sided or double-sided fish-shaped corrugation structures as required. Further processing such as surface grinding, edge chamfering, precision drilling, and slotting can be carried out. Yuko Corporation can also customize non-standard fish-shaped cross-sections, variable-pitch fish-shaped plates, and assembled fish-shaped plate components according to customer drawings and requirements.

Product Applications:
Silicon nitride bonded silicon carbide fish-shaped plates are widely used as atmosphere-distributing load-bearing plates in electronic ceramic sintering furnaces, special-shaped support plates for high-temperature sintering of structural ceramics, kiln furniture grates for magnetic material heat treatment, special support components in sintering kilns for lithium battery cathode and anode materials, and various high-temperature firing load-bearing tooling that requires optimized gas flow and heat exchange. They are a new type of composite ceramic special-shaped kiln furniture that replaces traditional flat plates, achieving a more uniform firing temperature field and higher product quality.
