S-Sic impeller

Product Introduction

Material Characteristics:

Pressureless sintered silicon carbide (SSiC) is made of high-purity silicon carbide (SiC) micropowder as raw material. After forming by dry pressing, slip casting or isostatic pressing, densification sintering is conducted in a high-temperature furnace under atmospheric pressure and inert gas protection at a sintering temperature of about 2100-2200℃. This process can produce high-performance ceramics with a theoretical density of over 98%, uniform microstructure and no free silicon residue. The product features extremely high hardness, excellent corrosion resistance, oxidation resistance and wear resistance, and is widely used in industrial kilns, electronic materials, semiconductors and other industries.

Product Information:

Pressureless sintered silicon carbide (S-SiC) impellers are made of high-density blanks prepared by cold isostatic pressing combined with high-temperature pressureless sintering technology, followed by flow channel milling, blade profile finishing and dynamic balance correction through a precision CNC machining center. This ensures uniform overall density of the impeller, high accuracy of blade profile and stable operation. Under high-speed rotation, strong corrosive medium scouring and solid-containing particle wear conditions, the product features cavitation resistance, erosion resistance, high thermal shock stability and long service life, serving as a core upgrading component to replace metal impellers in harsh fluid conveying systems.

Performance Parameters:

Bulk density ≥ 3.10 g/cm³, apparent porosity < 0.1%, cold bending strength ≥ 400 MPa, maximum service temperature 1650℃, Hardness (HRA) ≥ 92.

Product Specifications :

The outer diameter of standard S-SiC impellers ranges from 50mm to 400mm, and they can be designed as open, semi-open or closed impeller structures. Available secondary processing and testing processes include precision flow channel milling, blade curved surface finishing, shaft hole matching grinding, keyway processing, end face seal groove processing and overall dynamic balance testing. Yuko Corporation can also provide customized design and manufacturing according to customers’ specific hydraulic model drawings, medium parameters and assembly interface requirements.

Product Applications:

S-SiC impellers are widely used as impellers for conveying strong acid and alkali media in chemical process pumps, wear-resistant impellers for desulfurization and denitrification circulating pumps, key rotors for high-purity chemical conveying pumps in semiconductor wet processes, corrosion-resistant impellers for marine and offshore engineering seawater pumps, as well as core flow-passing components for pharmaceutical and food-grade clean fluid conveying pumps. They act as core rotating components to achieve efficient and stable conveying under high-temperature, strong corrosion and solid-liquid two-phase flow conditions.
