Material Characteristics:
Pressureless sintered silicon carbide (SSiC) is made of high-purity silicon carbide (SiC) micropowder as raw material. After forming by dry pressing, slip casting or isostatic pressing, densification sintering is conducted in a high-temperature furnace under atmospheric pressure and inert gas protection at a sintering temperature of about 2100-2200℃. This process can produce high-performance ceramics with a theoretical density of over 98%, uniform microstructure and no free silicon residue. The product features extremely high hardness, excellent corrosion resistance, oxidation resistance and wear resistance, and is widely used in industrial kilns, electronic materials, semiconductors and other industries.
Product Information:
Pressureless sintered silicon carbide (S-SiC) thermal radiation tubes are fabricated by cold isostatic pressing combined with high-temperature pressureless sintering technology, or high-precision thin-walled tube blanks are prepared by extrusion molding followed by densification sintering. It ensures uniform wall thickness of the tube body, high axial straightness and smooth and dense inner and outer surfaces. Under high-temperature oxidizing atmosphere, gas corrosion environment and frequent thermal cycle conditions, the product features strong oxidation resistance, high thermal radiation efficiency, excellent thermal shock stability and strong high-temperature pressure-bearing capacity, making it an ideal heat exchange component for effective isolation between flame and furnace atmosphere in indirect heating systems.
Performance Parameters:
Bulk density ≥ 3.10 g/cm³, apparent porosity < 0.1%, cold bending strength ≥ 400 MPa, maximum service temperature 1650℃, thermal conductivity ≥ 100 W/(m·K).
Product Dimensions:
Conventional S-SiC thermal radiation tubes cover outer diameter from 50mm to 250mm, wall thickness from 4mm to 15mm, and length from 500mm to 2500mm. Secondary processing is available, including precision grinding of inner and outer walls, end flange connection processing, positioning step processing, and transition section processing for welding or mechanical connection. Yuko Corporation can also provide customized products according to customers’ specific furnace type drawings, special pipe diameters and special-shaped structure requirements.
Product Applications:
S-SiC thermal radiation tubes are widely used as radiation heating tubes for controlled atmosphere heat treatment furnaces, indirect heating sleeves for continuous galvanizing lines and annealing furnaces, protective atmosphere radiation tubes for powder metallurgy sintering furnaces, flame-isolated heating tubes for ceramic and electronic component sintering furnaces, as well as external heating radiation sleeves for high-temperature reactors in chemical and petrochemical industries. They serve as core heating and isolation components under requirements of high temperature, high radiation efficiency and long service life.
